In this episode, Homer witnesses a robbery while buying ice cream at the Kwik-E-Mart. The robbery was done by a man believed to be Krusty the Clown, host of "Krusty the Clown Show" (show that is Bart's favorite thing on TV).
Krusty is sent to prison and his show is replaced by his assistant, Sideshow Bob. Bart and Lisa believe that Krusty is innocent and he is being framed, so, they start to investigate the situation, gathering evidence to support his claim, which he takes to "Krusty's bestest friend", Sideshow Bob.
Later, they find out that Krusty was framed by his assistant, the robbery being actually committed by Bob.
