About this "The Simpsons" episode:
An older and wiser, but not happier Bart looks back upon his failures with women, particularly Mary Spuckler. Returning to Springfield, Mary tries to reconnect with Bart but finds that he takes her for granted, and pays little attention to her. Homer takes Bart's side, arguing that men cannot be expected to understand women when women never come out and say what they are thinking. In response, Marge tells Homer exactly what she thinks of him, leading to both Bart and Homer being kicked out of the house. The two settle into Breakwood Apartments, joining other failed husbands there. At first settling into their existence, Bart and Homer realize they have to win their loves back, which they learn to do watching British Rom-com movies. Marge is won over by Homer's plea for love (sung to the tune of The Ode to Joy). Mary has found a new boyfriend. Bart is incredulous because the main character always gets the girl. Mary's new boyfriend reminds Bart that every person is the main character in his own life.
