The Simpsons - Them, Robot is the 17th episode from season 23 and number 503 overall in the series.
In this episode Mr. Burns try to cut expenses and he takes drastic measures. He fires all his employees (except for Homer who is the scapegoat) and replace them with robots (Smithers ideea).
With everyone at the plant fired, the town suffers from a 99% unemployment rate and Homer tries to connect with the robots. Lately Homer steals from Mr. Burns the robot manual in order to change the robot workers' personalities and give them human emotions.
In the end we find out that even robots can get sick of Homer, choosing auto-destruction as last resort to escape from him.The title of the episode is a reference to Isaac Asimov's collection of short stories, I, Robot.
