About this "The Simpsons" episode:
The Simpsons - Itchy & Scratchy & Marge is the 9th  episode of season 2 and number 22.
Maggie attacks Homer with a mallet, and Marge immediately blames The Itchy & Scratchy Show for turning her violent. Marge forms S.N.U.H. (Springfieldians for Nonviolence, Understanding, and Helping) and campaigns against the show. Eventually she successfully gets the writers to change their ways and make the show less violent. Meanwhile, Michelangelo's David goes on a coast-to-coast tour of the U.S., and the members of S.N.U.H. mobilize to protest it. Marge, however, states that she likes the statue and realizes that it is wrong to censor one form of art but not another and decides to give up her anti-cartoon violence protest.

Ah, yes. Homer's got a great point in the end.

This cartoon speaks volumes about the Democrats in America... instead of blaming the parents and holding parents responsible for letting their children watch inappropriate programming, they instead blame television networks and producers. It's always someone else s fault except their own.

so true, so very true...

Just like Terrance and Phillip in South Park at Death---They abandon their children down in Colorado to go to NY to protest against that goddamn TV show---Parents shouldn't forbid their children to watch those cartoons but talk to them about real life consequences and analogies.

oh please, dont flatter yourselves. its not just democrats, its also republicans, liberals and in betweens. everyone has problems with their kids and most republican households are the ones harboring guns that kids have ample access to. it just goes to show you how irresponsible some parents are in this country and that they actually get off their jobs or couches or whatever they do, earlier and take part in their kids' lives. proactive parenting is the most successful. it has nothing to do with political orientation. and most of the creators of the simpsons are democrats fyi. dumbasses.
