The Simpsons - Bart Gets an F is the 1st episode of season 2 and number 14.
In this season Bart fails a test and is told that he has one more chance to pass it or else he will be held back a year. Bart tries to get the class genius Martin Prince to help him, but after that fails, Bart prays for help. That night, Springfield is hit with a massive blizzard and the school is closed, giving Bart one more day to study. Despite his desperate attempts, Bart fails the test. While weeping, he mentions an obscure historical event and Mrs. Krabappel, noting that he applied practical knowledge, passes him.

Arguably the first episode where The Simpsons found an identity for their show.
Favorite episode I relate to this.
4 things noticeable in this episode:
1. Bart's shirt looks faded in this episode.
2. The opening sequence has different coloring.
3. Homer has a different scream this season which will change in Season 3.
4. At 4:06, That's the voice I know for Homer instead of his Walter Matthau voice.
