The Simpsons - The Falcon and the D'ohman is the first episode of season 23 and number 487 overall in the series.
The name of the episode "The Falcon and the D'ohman" is a reference to the 1985 film "The Falcon and the Snowman".
At Springfield Nuclear Power Plant is hired a new security guard named Wayne, who soon becomes Homer's friend. The problem is that Wayne is connected to the Ukrainian Mafia.
Meanwhile Marge dreams about participating in the "Top Chef" contest hosted by Tom Colicchio.
This episode also reveals the fate of the relationship between Ned Flanders and Edna Krabappel that was initiated in the previous episode, as we can see in the beginning, Comic Book Guy opens the season premiere by telling the viewers that there will be hints in the episode as to the conclusion of the romance between Ned and Edna.
